flare – add Fusion to Flex

flare is : ActionScript 3 libraries for interactive visualizations on the web.

As a researcher mentality, especially for flex, I come to know about the ‘ Flare – tool kit’ to add some visualization effect to Flex applications .

Flare is a collection of ActionScript 3 classes for building a wide variety of interactive visualizations. ‘ flare ‘ can be used to build basic charts, complex animations, network diagrams, treemaps, and more.

Flare is written in the ActionScript 3 programming language and can be used to build visualizations that run on the web in the Adobe Flash Player. Flare is open source software. The power behind Flare is prefuse, a full-featured visualization toolkit written in Java.

Though, initially its demo is not so impressive at first look but if you spend some time and play with it, certainly you will come to know its abilities .

Check its demo : http://flare.prefuse.org/demo/
Cheers. 🙂
